IELTS Test
The test is designed to test your ability in Writing, Speaking, Listening, and Reading. The maximum time limit of the test is 3 hours.
Listening
Duration: 30 minutes.
There is a set of 40 questions in series given to you to answer, you have to hear the recordings and answer.
Assessment Criteria:
- Being able to provide and evidence to your comprehension of the main idea using detailed information.
- Opinions and Attitudes portrayed by the speakers.
Reading
Duration: 60 minutes
There are 40 questions in number, framed with the help of 3 reading passages.
- To establish main Ideas.
- Detail- oriented reading.
- being able to understand logical argument.
- You must be able to recognize the writers’ opinions, purpose, and attitude.
Writing
Duration: 60 minutes
IELTS Academic Test
There are two tasks to be completed within a time frame of 1 hour.
IELTS General Training
Topics are of general interest. There are two tasks:
Task 1 – There is a topic of essay given seeking a response to a problem, argument, or opinion.
Task 2 – A letter writing is to be written in this task, the question is based entirely on general complaints, seeking advice, reporting a concern, etc.
Speaking
Duration: 11–14 minutes
This component of the test, tests your ability to communicate.
